It borders to the N. on Igorre, to E. on Dima, to the S. with Artea and to O. on Zeberio. In the general statistics placed to foot of this page there are included the inhabitants of Elezcano that is a small population entity.

Of town planning entirely rural and dispersed, since there correspond to the big one most of the municipalities of the area of Arratia, his patrimony answers basically to this characteristic, being all his wealth historical - artistic (be already religious, civil or domestic) connected with the agricultural and cattle life.

San Pedro de Aránzazu, parochial church of the current council, treats about a neoclassic building finished in 1828, although there exist papers that testifies a previous temple in the current one emplacement, at least going back to the second half of XVIIth century. Of plant of Latin cross, not defined on the outside, and rough stone, it possesses a porch that covers his principal front and day pupil has three elements diferenciadores at sight: his big eardrum in the hood, definer of the classic heredity that forged it, one vain of half a point in each of four walls that define it cruciform plant and a tower, very sober, of square plant, defined by two lines of fascia and four vain ones of half a point that lodge equal number of bells. They finish off a small dome of ashlars lightly aimed, on that there is a pedestal cylindrical and an iron weathercock as cross. His interior is possibly the one that gives him major personality, since the framework of I dress wood that cantilever crowns his roof supported for jabalcones on , along the whole perimeter, it provides this air to him rurally, that is connected with the style of the whole municipality. Whitewashed to half a height in his top part, height defined by line of fascia with frame, and masonry seen in the part goes down, emphasizes the choir on the (flat) principal revenue, also of wood. The so called Chapel is of San Fausto, which today to lost his religious character and there is modern successor of a previous building that his same one occupied place and the same dedication.

On the art furniture of the parish, the element of major interest, and the almost only, is the reredos of the presbytery, of style romanist, very classic, as it is demonstrated by the ionic columns that divide them houses in which the figures are located. With only one I tread, pinnacle possesses attic finished off with a crucified Christ and two to sides, and bank in which four Evangelists are represented, on polychrome wood, to the sides and in the center, as tabernacle, scenes of the passion and a crucified Christ. It lodges images of San Pedro in the center (motive of dedication), to his sides another two saints, and in the attic a very small Blessed Virgin with relation to the size of the encasamento in which it resides, what makes suppose that it was not designed for this place. An Andra Mari of polychrome wood and Gothic style, a San Isidro, a font in stone and the altar, a modern receptacle of popular style with schematic decoration complete the notable furniture.

The Chapel of San Miguel is a building of rectangular plant, with roof to double slope and wide porch that covers his walls on right feet of wood, which in the part this one adopts one more complex framework with brace, pendolón and two pairs, adopting the image of the armors that usually sustain the roofs. With wall stretches in sillarejo, most of his tackle is masonry and his access, although flat, point presents way arch in the backfill. It has a bulrush whitewashed and finished off in cross of forge and a kidling aguabenditera of I join the right part.

Inside the refined architecture, to stand out: the Town hall, which is a nice building of rectangular plant, masonry, except corner and some vain that they present chairs, three heights (her third a ganbara with little windows) covering to four waters and access in semicircular arch framed in big ashlars. The windows of the principal front are finished off in wood and of them they present someone an onlooker arquillo of discharge. The balconies about his perimeter are protected by an extension of eave on jabalcones, since this one has very little I fly and it cannot lodge the whole protrusion of the rows of balconies; and the House Atucha, with escutcheon of this surname, which it contains: a fisherman in a side and one sword in band with two heads of Moor, crowned, all this, for I chat with plumage and lambrequines, on console.

The Bridge of Zelaia, of the only eye and masonry except them stirrups or tajamares, is reformed in his side walls, his width having been extended by means of projecting modern. The mill close to the bridge and his prey they complete the outstanding elements. (text of Auñamendi, Basque encyclopedia, Manu Castaño, to see the link)
