Located in the Lea-Artibai region, it has an extension of 1,8 Km2. It borders to the North on the sea, on the South and West with Ispaster and to the east on Mendexa.

Lekeitio is placed on the hillsides of the mounts Otoio and Lumentza, which in soft slope descend towards the sea.
The river Reads, turned in ría, it spills his waters to the sea between beaches of Isuntza and Karraspio, leaving next to you lefthander the island of San Nicolás. The climate is soft and his altitude on the level of sea is 10 m.

Medieval town and matelot top founded in 1327. It still preserves some small stretch of his walls although it have eliminated 5 doors that formerly it had. The first occupation information is documented in the cave of Lumentza that, with Santimamiñe, is one of deposits vizcaínos with a more finished cultural bogey from Top Paleolithic up to the Romanización, where traces of the prehistoric man have been mollusks recollector.

TOWN HALL (XVth century)
Typical baroque building of the Basque council.

CHURCH OF THE ASUNCIÓN OF STA. MARIA (XVth century)
Late Gothic building that an arrested visit deserves, emphasizing his front and the reredos of the high altar, of Flemish Gothic style of the beginning of the XVI.th century for his dimensions and his policromía is more imporante of Biscay.

LINEN OF THE MEDIEVAL WALL
It begins opposite to the cemetery and finishes in the street Dendari, place where there was one of the medieval doors (Atheist's Portal), principal access for the travelers of the interior.

TOWER TURPIN (XVIth century)
Renaissance Gothic building.

PALACE URIARTE (XVIIth century)
This building of baroque style includes a medieval tower that stands out of the roof.

TOWER ZAHAR
Perhaps the most ancient building that the town preserves.

GAMARRA'S SQUARE.
Point of meeting of the area of pescadres (Arranegi) and of the ancient one craftsmen's nucleus (Dendari).

THE PALACE URIBARRIA (XVIIth century).

SMALL SQUARE OF ARRANEGI

It supports in some functioning of his ancient shipyards of bank where they are made and repair crafts of fishing and playtime.
