E-mail municipality

This municipality is placed vizcaíno in Arratia-Nervión region, with an extension of 4,54 km2 and one altitude of approximately 81 meters on the sea level. Hard eventful area is located in one , at the bottom of an embattled vale of mountainous tops, between which they stand out for the right shore Artanda (547 m)., while for the left a series of hills placed to the south of the Pagasarri, like those of Curuciaga, Larretxu and Mugarriluce.
The river Nervion, which in this area of his low course already begins to to describe meanders, there forms a narrow vale to which they are going to stop for the right shore the river of Zeberio and some creeks like Itumbe, Añibarri and Cordeta, increasing his wealth.

The municipality is constituted essentially by the city center of the ancient town with his only street and the urbanized areas, construídas around him: Udiárraga, Markio, Elosu, Astibi, Leitoki

The element most emphasized from the monumental artistic patrimony of Ugao-Miraballes is undoubtedly the chapel of Our Lady of Udiárraga. The popular tradition of ancient origin, at least bajomedieval, tells that the Virgin of Udiárraga had worked miracles between settlers of the environment. This beneficent attribution spread it devotion to the Virgin, who in the XVIth century was already extending them to all Towns of around. This devotion has kept on being very strong in the later centuries.

Secondly we can emphasize the Church of San Bartolomé, constructed with posteriority to the foundation of the town, since there is no any reference to she in the letter it populates. Also the festivity of San Bartolomé (August 24) was the date in which infante Don Juan was fulfilling years , founder of the town and in which principal municipal charges (mayors) were choosing them . The remains architectural more ancient than the church, vain of access and windows blocked in a side wall, date back to ends of the XVth or beginning of the XVIth.

The Source of Three Pipes, one of the most representative corners and typical of the town.

The front of the cemetery, neoclassic (ends of the XIXth century beginning of the XXth) with semicircular arch flanked by battery, cajeadas and finished off in pediment with skull and the inscription "PATER NOSTER". (fte verl official web)
